But, you're wrong. Have you not heard of the all evil cookie? have you not heard of the way that they sell your identity like a street bumb sells a hotdog on a New York street. Have you no idea what I'm speaking of? I'm speaking of cookies, yes, cookies. Not in the physical sense, in the digital sense. Cookies are packets of info, stored to your Hard Disc, from servers. They have info on where you've been, take this cookie for instance: [begin cookie:zeus@shareware.com] u_vid_1_003814b5fshareware.com/061791680029316075405621638429253046* [end cookie:zeus@shareware.com] this cookie shows the server of a site who you are, and that you have been to shareware.com, not too bad, but think of the possibilities. A java applet could be made, and most likely has been made to do nothing but collect these cookies. The legitament use of cookies is to determine how many connections to a site have come from different computers, so that many connections from the same box are counted as one, but can be used for any reason really, they do know who you are after all. These files can be, and are read by the server of a site, or even the webmaster. This goes on without our knowing of it. If you were clueless as to what a cookie is, and read this, then you're most likely a Windows user (haha), so, to disable cookie usage in MS-IE (ver 4), go to View > Internet Options > click the advanced tab > Scroll down to cookies > and check disable all cookie use. For NetScape (ver 4) - go to Edit > click the advanced panel > check the button that says "Disable Cookies" As for MacOS, follow the same steps, they're identical. As for UNIX/Linux - older versions of Lynx do not accept cookies, but check with http://lynx.browser.org/ for info on your version. So, Does Satan live in your Bread Basket? If no, Have you ever looked? Will you ever look? Why haven't you looked? If people don't look behind the superficialities of it all, they may never know... If people don't begin to pay attention to what happens behind what they see on the screen, they may never even know if Satan is in their bread basket. And that's a sad thing, think of all the fun you could have, if you possesed the knowledge that satan lived in your bread basket.
